Join us in Canada for the IJRU 2020 World Championships

We are excited to announce the location of the first IJRU World Championships in Ottawa, Canada. Shaun Hamilton (IJRU President) and Takashi Ogawa (IJRU Executive Vice President) made the announcement today at the 2019 World Jump Rope Championship Grands, in front of a packed crowd in Oslofjord, Norway.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our entire sport to meet in historic and beautiful Ottawa, Canada for the first joint global jump rope championship. This location and event will mark the start of an amazing journey for our sport. We are looking forward to welcoming the world’s athletes to Ottawa.” - Shaun Hamilton

The tournament will take place at TD Place Arena a world-class sport facility in July of 2020. We can’t wait to welcome the entire jump rope/rope skipping world to Canada.
