Highlights from the General Congress
The International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) General Congress gathered virtually on October 3, 2020. More than 77 delegates, representing 33 National Governing Bodies (NGBs) were present at the meeting, making this the largest assembly for the IJRU General Congress. We would like to thank all of our NGBs and delegates for attending and working with IJRU on the advancement of the sport of jump rope/rope skipping.
Presidential message
The meeting focused on the theme - “Jumping Through Uncertain Times.” In the presidential message, IJRU President Shaun Hamilton, demonstrated a solid commitment to work with each NGB as the sport of jump rope/rope skipping continues to develop. Hamilton stressed the importance of finding ways to continue to grow and adapt while facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

New member ratifications
Since the last General Congress, in July of 2019, 18 new NGBs have been added to the membership of IJRU. All 18 NGBs were approved by the General Congress. Delegates also confirmed two continental organizations:
