Jump rope/rope skipping and COVID-19 – practice guidelines, risk mitigation and digital strategies

Are you ready to get back to practice? Do you have any safety measures in place to ensure that your athletes, coaches and volunteers are safe? In this panel, medical and sport experts will raise awareness on what safety guidelines to consider during practice, performances and competition for coaches, athletes and volunteers during COVID-19.

Each area of the world has different health and safety guidelines and restrictions. Our panel will explore risk mitigation strategies to consider during COVID-19. If your organization is unable to come together for large events or even smaller practices, you may need to consider new technologies and pathways. We will explore the use of technology as a way to reduce risk through the potential of online training and events.

Diversity and Inclusion in Jump Rope/Rope Skipping

IJRU would like to continue to invest in our core values of diversity and inclusion. How can we ensure that the sport of jump rope/rope skipping is a safe space for all athletes, coaches, judges and spectators regardless of race?

This panel will continue conversations about race, diversity and inclusion in the sport of jump rope/rope skipping. We hope to help raise awareness, promote discussion and begin to offer potential solutions to counter racism in jump rope/rope skipping.
