IJRU, along with the French Federation of Double Dutch (Official NGB of IJRU), are happy to invite you to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games via key engagements during the games. Below is a brief description of the opportunities to participate and represent the sport of jump rope on a global stage.
Performer: Participants as performers will be performing in official Paris 2024 designated areas around Paris, France and engaging with various audiences from around the world. Below are the stipulations associated with being a performer. Performance Dates 27 July –11 August. Performers must agree to at least 4 days of per formances from 27 July – 11 August.
All performers must complete the JR Paris 2024 Form by 9th June.
Competitor: We have the unique opportunity to host non-medal competition around the games. We will have the following events to compete.
DD 3X3 Battle
DD solo (ones)
Single Rope Best Trick Battle
Double Dutch Contest Show
DD Speed and Single Rope Speed

All competitors must complete the JR Paris 2024 Form by 9th June.
Additionally, all participants will need to complete and upload the Paris 2024 JR Engagement Waiver document.

IJRU and FFDD respect all NGBs. Therefore, all participants need to seek their respective NGBs permission to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity. This can be achieved by simply writing an approval letter to the groups wishing to attend. This document will be requested in the registration process for the participants. We kindly request that you supply this letter for the potential participants as soon as they request it. Additionally, only member countries of IJRU in good standing (paid membership) will be considered. Please note that final decisions will be made collectively by FFDD and IJRU.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will flights be reimbursed?
You will be responsible for your flights and/or transpiration to and out of Paris, France.
Is there a minimum age?
Participants must be 16 years old as of 26 July 2024.
Will meals be covered?
Some meals will be covered while present. And be prepared to feed yourself while in Paris.
Where will we stay while in Paris?
FFDD are seeking a place to host all jumpers such as s big host or big houses that will be at FFDD expense.
Will hotels be covered?
There will be no hotels, but big hostels/ homes FFDD are dealing with Paris 2024 event covered by FFDD.
Will I be allowed to go to Olympic events?
No. You will be given a credential that will give you access to only designated areas.
Will there be organized inner city transportation for our jump rope group?
No. You will be responsible for using all public or private transportation to get from location to location.
What will we wear?
If you are performing, the Paris 2024 will supply you with clothing. Sizes will be captured in the JR Paris 2024 Form. Please bring adequate shoes for performing.
If you are competing you can wear?
All the events are “urban based” so feel free dress with an urban flavor. However, please do not have brands largely visible.
Do I have to qualify to compete in the competitions?
You will need to get the permission of your NGB to compete in the competition. The NGB must be in good standing with IJRU as well. We recommend you seek the permission of your NGB to compete. There is a document upload function in the JR Pairs 2024 Form.
Can I compete and perform?
Yes. Simply indicate it on the JR Paris 2024 Form. You will need to ensure you get to both locations in time to fully participate in the activities.
What are the rules of competition?
The final rules will be communicated soon as they will be finalized. Please keep in mind this is an urban style event and the competition rules will be very simple and easy to understand, and entertainment based.
