IJRU 2022 August Board Meeting Highlights
The IJRU Board met on Saturday, August 20, 2022, Time: 11:04AM – 13:00PM UTC for a regularly scheduled board meeting.
Below are some of the meeting highlights.
Voting Procedure: The board reviewed various changes proposed by the Ethics Panel on the voting procedure in the Constitution. The board will review the changes prior to the next board meeting (before the General Congress).
Europe – In an effort to move the European board position forward, and following discussions with Kate Libova, the board took the difficult decision to remove Kate Libova (Russia) from the European Member at Large position, due to the indefinite suspension of Russian officials as prescribed by the IOC. Kate Libova will retain her Legal Supervisor Role on the IJRU Board. IJRU continues to stay connected with Kate and the Russia Jump Rope Federation and continue to support their jump rope efforts.
New Board Appointment
Upon the recommendation of IJRU’s President, Shaun Hamilton, the board approved two new members to fill the vacant European Member at Large positions in the form of Kurt Moen (Belgium) and Nadia Aidli (France). These positions will require General Congress final approval.
