IJRU Youth Leaders Shine at UTS World Children’s Day Festival 2025 in Kuala Lumpur
The International Jump Rope Union proudly participated, via the Malaysia Jump Rope Federation, in the UTS World Children’s Day Festival 2025, held from 20–24 November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where young athletes and ambassadors gathered under the uplifting theme “Rise Together.”
Hosted at the Mercure Living Hotel, the event was organised by United Through Sports (UTS) in collaboration with the Malaysian Government and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with direct support from the Malaysian Jump Rope Federation (MYJuRF)
The UTS World Children’s Festival is recognized as one of the world’s largest inclusive youth initiatives, bringing together participants of all abilities, cultures, and backgrounds. It serves as a global platform promoting unity, equality, and the transformational power of sport.
Throughout the four-day festival, athletes, NGOs, schools, international federations, city partners, and young leaders participated in sport, arts, education, and cultural exchange sessions aimed at empowering youth and fostering positive social change
MYJuRF and IJRU representatives contributed significantly to the event’s activities. Highlights included:
A jump rope team briefing session and demonstrations
Long-rope “Jump Together” activations
Engagement with international ambassadors, including Nadia from Double Dutch France
Collaboration with leaders in other sports, including sessions with UTS President Stephan Fox and the Malaysian Muaythai Federation
These activities showcased jump rope as an accessible, high-energy, and community-driven sport, reinforcing IJRU’s commitment to inclusivity.
