The International Jump Rope Union (“IJRU”) is pleased to announce a new chapter in its ongoing partnership with The Olympic Channel for its 2023 World Jump Rope Championship event taking place at the Ed Robson Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
This premier event is available to watch free on Olympics.com from July 21st - 23rd (schedule below).

IJRU holds its World Championships biannually featuring the top jump rope athletes in single rope and double dutch disciplines across the globe. These athletes compete in a preliminary round to secure a spot in the finals, and ultimately, compete for the title of World Champion. In 2023, over 1,200 athletes representing 27 countries will compete in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 16th - 23rd. The event will be produced by QTV Media and live streamed on www.ijru.sport.

About IJRU
Since 1973 the competitive sport of jump rope/ skipping has made its indelible mark on the world of sports. Since that time the sport has experienced tremendous growth and development and has evolved into the International Jump Rope Union (IJRU), the sole international governing body of jump rope. IJRU represents the merged international federations of Fédération Internationale de Saut à la Corde - International Rope Skipping Federation (FISAC-IRSF) and the World Jump Rope Federation (WJRF). Combined these two entities have produced 21 world championships. Today IJRU enjoys Observer Status with the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) and with the Alliance of Independent recognized Members of Sport (AIMS). IJRU also has signatory status to the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) and is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in the state of Ohio, USA.
