IJRU Board Approves Updated Event Approval Guidelines
On September 12, 2026, the IJRU Board of Directors approved updated Guidelines for Participation in IJRU-Approved and Non-Approved Jump Rope Events.
The revised guidelines clarify how National Governing Bodies, Continental Organizations, and IJRU participate in approving events involving international participants.
Events seeking IJRU recognition must first receive approval or endorsement from the recognized NGB in the host country or territory and then apply through the IJRU Event Approval Process. The relevant Continental Organization will have the opportunity to provide regional input through a designated representative, while IJRU will make the final decision regarding IJRU approval and recognition.
The revised framework confirms that a separate continental application is not an IJRU requirement unless the IJRU Board has formally approved and incorporated that process into the published guidelines.
This update provides NGBs and event organizers with a clearer and more consistent pathway while preserving meaningful continental participation. It will help reduce duplication, avoid unnecessary delays, and support a transparent global competition structure.
IJRU thanks its members and Continental Organizations for their continued cooperation as we work together to strengthen jump rope worldwide.
