IJRU Signs MOU with ROPEACE
The International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ROPEACE, a Japan-based social project dedicated to connecting people through jump rope. The agreement was signed following the conclusion of the 2025 World Jump Rope Championships in Kawasaki, Japan, and aims to expand global access to the sport, with a focus on underserved communities.
Founded in 2016, ROPEACE promotes peace, smiles, and cultural exchange under its vision of “ROPE & PEACE.” The project has delivered 6,871 reused jump ropes to schools and communities in eight countries across Asia and Africa, fostering international exchange through the spirit of sharing and caring.
“This MOU marks a historic milestone for ROPEACE. We are honored to embark on a new journey alongside IJRU, an organization that has led the way in elevating jump rope into a global sport. We look forward with great anticipation to a partnership that extends into the future and spreads smiles across the world,” said a representative from ROPEACE.
IJRU President Shaun Hamilton shared his excitement for the collaboration. “IJRU is proud to partner with ROPEACE in order to give more opportunities for people around the world to jump rope. ROPEACE has been a constant source of hope and inspiration and IJRU identifies with those values. We are excited to work with them to promote jump rope around the world in underserved communities.”
