Leadership Transition in Pan America

The International Jump Rope Union announces that María del Sol Rodríguez López has resigned from her leadership roles within IJRU and the Pan American Jump Rope Federation, effective 25 August 2026.

IJRU extends its sincere appreciation to María for her service and for the time, energy, and commitment she has contributed to the development of jump rope in Pan America and across our global community. We wish her every success as she pursues new academic and professional opportunities.

To ensure continuity during this transition, Mr. Pedro Cuerdo (IJRU BOD Member) and Mr. Ernesto Hernandez will serve as interim Pan American Liaisons and will work with IJRU and its members to support the region’s ongoing activities.

IJRU will also convene a working group made up of representatives from the Pan American membership. The group will assess regional priorities, strengthen cooperation among member countries, and help chart a collaborative way forward in accordance with the relevant governance processes. Further information about the working group and opportunities for member participation will be shared directly with Pan American members.

We are confident that, through open communication and the active participation of our members, jump rope will continue to grow and create opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials, and organizations throughout Pan America.
