Registration
In order to participate in the Virtual World Championship Series, you’ll need to register through your NGB. IRJU will not accept registration from individual athletes or clubs. All registration must go through your NGB. View a list of all member NGBs to find out if your country can participate.
We will release more details and provide access to the registration system in 2021.
Video submission guidelines
View our video recording and submission guidelines to learn about the camera settings and video requirements for all event submissions. These guidelines will help ensure that we are able to clearly view the athletes and properly judge all submissions.
All athletes will need to stand in front of the camera and show the IJRU 2021 Confirmation Code to verify the video submission.
If you are unsure about whether a video meets the IJRU submission rules, you can request a review after uploading the video by August 15 by completing this Video Review Request Form.
Pricing and packages
The IJRU Virtual World Championship Series, will cost a base fee of $30 USD plus an additional fee for each video submission. Please review the Virtual World Championship Series Pricing Package for full pricing details and the cost per video submission. All prices are listed in US dollars (USD).
The cost of each video submission will vary based on the event (i.e., single rope freestyle, double dutch speed 1x60, etc.) and tournament (i.e., IOT, JWC or WC).
Deposit
A non-refundable, $30 deposit per athlete is due on June 1, 2021. If your NGB receives additional slots, you’ll need to submit a $30 non-refundable deposit for each additional athlete added to your roster by June 1, 2021.
Refunds
We will offer a 50% refund for any cancellations that we receive before July 20, 2021.
Judge certification and nomination requirements
Each NGB will need to supply IJRU certified judges to help support the event. Please review the 2021 Judging Nomination Requirements for full details about the number of judges your NGB will need to supply.
The updated online judging certification and recertification courses are now available through the IJRU Learning Portal. Please make sure that all of your judges receive their level 3 certification prior to the April 1, 2021 judge nomination submission deadline.
Music rights
For the 2021 Virtual World Championship Series, athletes will not be required to purchase a music licence in order to compete. IJRU has partnered with ClicknClear to help educate our members on the importance of music rights and music licences. In the future, athletes will likely need to purchase music licences in order to compete at the World Championships.
Anti-doping
IJRU will follow the IJRU Anti-Doping Rules as recommended by WADA and adopted by the IJRU Board of Directors on November 7, 2020. At this time, IJRU is planning on enforcing Anti-Doping rules for 2021. Since this year's event will be virtual, our testing agency will be conducting out of championship testing of our athletes. We will provide more information regarding how this will be conducted as IJRU works closely with our testing agency.
IJRU follows:
"Anti-doping programs that seek to protect the health of our athletes and provide the opportunity for athletes to pursue human excellence without the use of prohibited substances and prohibited methods." (IJRU Anti-doping Rules, 11/7/2020.page 3.)
